Marked improvement

Who am I to praise my fellow Barbershop singers. I spend my life criticizing people for singing duff notes, getting words wrong, sliding up and down like a skier on a slalom course or simply not staying in time with the chorus director. Well now I have to eat my words. For a month or two I have noted a marked improvement and as the assistant of the assistant choral director myself, had the pleasure of directing a couple of songs at a recent sing out in Newport. I say PLEASURE, because that is what it was, the tempo was perfect, the lights and shades were so clear, the performance was captivating, even the audience stayed awake. Poor dears.. It was a pity that DD wasn't there to witness it, even my poor old hearing aid went ballistic every time a chord rang. Repeat that performance at convention and surely a medal will be forthcoming but it will still need the commitment of every singer to put on his best effort, to concentrate 100% on notes, words and timings and show the big choruses what can be achieved. Once again lads, well done... and keep up the good work..
